After a career in IT that lasted over 40 years and helping to raise a family I am finally able to do more of what I want to do, which is to write. I was lucky in my career that it took me to various places in the world, including the US for over 10 years. In that time I’ve not only watched my kids grow up but technology and the internet grow up as well.

I first tried writing, and hoping to be paid for it, after I left university. Although I tried every kind of writing I could think of I didn’t have much success. I still have the old exercise book with every recorded delivery receipt and rejection letter stapled inside it. I had a couple of things published but I realised I wasn’t about to become a bestselling author overnight. Real life kicked in and I got a normal job.

Over the years I have had numerous articles published and still contribute regularly to the British Computer Society but I still had an itch that needed to be scratched.

I always planned to give writing another go and here we are.
